An early start today with breakfast to go and off to the ferry terminal at 5.30am! Despite it being pretty rainy the crossing was very smooth... 2.5 hours later and we were arriving on the Scottish shores. We stopped in Girvan, a small coastal town with beautiful views of Aisla Craig, the tiny island where all curling stones are mined and a small strip of beach to play on. It was a couple of hours from there up to Edinburgh, with another stop on route to buy supplies and use restrooms. We were dropped off at the end of Princes St in the city centre and walked with Emma up Cockburn St (pronounced Coburn) to the Royal Mile. We gathered at St Giles Cathedral before splitting up for some free time... many visiting the Harry Potter shop! After meeting back up we boarded to coach and went to the Toby Carvery for our evening meal of roast dinner... a great success! We're staying at a funky hotel out near the airport... The Moxy
