Day 9: April 25, 2025
We woke up full of energy for our final big travel day! After a good breakfast and hotel check-out, we headed to the center of Taormina. A characteristic shuttle took us up the hill, where our guide Angelo was waiting.
With him, we explored the main highlights of this stunning town: the Odeon, Palazzo Corvaia, the public gardens, and the incredible Greek-Roman Theater that has amazed visitors for over 2,000 years.
After a tasty lunch, we enjoyed free time to explore the charming streets, do some shopping, and take in the breathtaking views. With our last gelato taken, we boarded the bus to the airport and flew back to Rome.
We arrived at our hotel a little tired but so happy with all we’ve seen and experienced. Time to rest up for tomorrow’s journey home. What an incredible week!
