After breakfast, we set off at a relaxed pace to discover the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, guided by our wonderful guide Claudio. There, we had the chance to admire the incredible Temple of Concordia—among other ancient temples—the best-preserved Greek temple outside of Greece! Surrounded by almond trees, olive groves, and views of the sea, the temples stood majestically in a breathtaking landscape. We walked under the warm sun, taking in the beauty of the ancient ruins and listening to Claudio's insightful stories, immersing ourselves in the fascinating world of Magna Graecia. Once our visit came to an end, we boarded the bus to Taormina. Three hours later, we arrived at our seaside hotel, Baia degli Dei. Although the weather wasn’t perfect—slightly cloudy—we still enjoyed some fun on the beach and a bit of well-deserved rest. A few brave souls even dipped their feet in the sea... it was a bit chilly! 😄 After a delicious dinner of maccheroni all’amatriciana, roast pork with mashed potatoes, and a choice of dessert or fruit, we headed out for a tasty gelato before calling it a night. A different kind of day—more relaxed, but just as beautiful!
