Rome & Sicily

Day 2: April 18, 2025

After a long journey, we finally reunited—safe and sound—at the airport. Our bus was already there, waiting to whisk us away and kick off our adventure through the Eternal City! Our first stop: the iconic Piazza di Spagna, known for its stunning (and very long!) staircase and incredible views over the city. We took a few moments to soak in the atmosphere, explore the charming nearby streets, and even pop into Rome’s most famous McDonald’s—the oldest one in the city! Next, we made our way to the breathtaking Trevi Fountain, where we admired its majestic architecture (along with the crowds!). As tradition has it, some of us tossed in coins—wishing for good luck and the chance to return one day. After snapping plenty of photos, we continued on to the Pantheon, an awe-inspiring temple from ancient Roman times, and took time to enjoy the beauty of its surrounding square. We wrapped up our first day with a delicious Italian dinner of bruschetta al pomodoro, cannelloni, and chocolate mousse. Finally, we strolled through Piazza Navona—often called the most beautiful square in Rome—and admired Bernini’s spectacular central fountain, featured in countless famous films. There was our bus, waiting once again, ready to take us to the hotel—and to a cozy bed. An unforgettable beginning to our Roman adventure!
