Day 8: May 22, 2019
We build Rome in a day.....wow 😅
The busiest day of our tour started with a walk in the oldest arena of Rome: the Colosseum. Imagine 70000 Romans cheering while gladiators where fighting for their lifes....if you close your eyes you can imagine to among them. We continued our visit through the amazing Roman forum where Roman life happened more than 2000 years ago. Streets, rest of ancient buildings, temples, columns....still there!
Than back on the bus direction Holy stairs....reopened after 300 years, the stairs that Jesus Christ climbed the day of his death.
We crossed the city centre along the banks of the Tiber river by bus. A quick lunch before the Vatican Museum, the breathtaking Sistine Chappel and St. Peter’s Church.
Luca promised to lead us in his favourite Roman places....and he covered the promise. Spanish steps, Trevi’s fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.....bella Roma 😍
