Warsaw has literally been a flurry of activity for us. The bulk of the day has been an immersion into the history of Warsaw, the Polish Kingdom and the Nazi occupation. First we spent a couple of hours in the Warsaw Uprising Museum. Impressed by that, we went on to a phantastic food court with dishes from all over the world. To sum up just a piece of our day then: Our lovely local guide, Marta, took us around. We walked the old town with its churches and palaces, later by bus to the Warsaw Ghetto as well as the Pawiak Prison Museum, just two of the sites where the Nazis were carrying out their atrocities. Not an easy experience to sum up in a sentence. After so many impressions we earnt some free time for shopping and later a nice dinner at our hotel.
