We started the guided sightseeing tour of Barcelona by driving up to the famous Parc Guell. Conchita, our local guide, walked us around it seeing some of its interesting parts and we also enjoyed nice views of the city from there. We then went on and stopped at Gaudi’s masterpiece: the unfinished temple called La Sagrada Familia. It was just breathtaking! Conchita gave us several details of its construction and we took several pictures of it from different sides. We continued our tour by visiting the hill of Montjuic from where we could enjoy great views of the whole city and saw some of the 1992 Olympic sites, like the stadium, the Olympic needle, the complex of swimming pools, among other facilities. We finished the tour at Plaza de Catalonia, the city's main square. We then walked along the Ramblas, the most famous promenade of the city. We saw the also famous market of La Boqueria and reached the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus. We then had free time for lunch and shop around. In the early evening we got together again and went for dinner in another nice restaurant by the Olympic village.
