Girl Scouts: London & Paris

June 18, 2025  -  June 28, 2025

Today we took the Eurostar train from London to Paris! The group enjoyed a comfortable train ride as we traveled under the English Channel and through the French countryside. Once in Paris, we dropped off our luggage at the hotel and headed to the Latin Quarter, which is known for its abundance of restaurants, shops and cafés. The group visited the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral, the medieval cathedral which was featured in Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame," a Gothic novel set in 15th-century Paris. The novel emphasizes themes of love, social injustice, and the importance of preserving Gothic architecture as a cultural heritage. For dinner, we had steak and French fries, followed by French-style apple pie for dessert. We then had some free time for shopping in the Latin Quarter before taking the metro back to the hotel.
