Girl Scouts: London & Paris

June 18, 2025  -  June 28, 2025

Today the group visited the Girl Scouts' Our Chalet World Center in the Swiss Alps. We participated in the official pinning ceremony and enjoyed the views from this historical Girl Scouts site. We then had lunch in Adelboden, a traditional mountain village with views of waterfalls and snow-capped peaks. After lunch, the group braved the heights of the Hostalde Suspension Bridge, one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in Europe. From here we could see magnificent views of the valley and the alpine river flowing below us. Afterwards, the group had a quick swim in the lake before heading to Interlaken for dinner. Interlaken is a picturesque Swiss town surrounded by lakes and mountains. Here we tried traditional Alpine-style pasta, with potato cubes, bacon, cheese, fried onion and applesauce. It was delicious! We ended the evening with a stroll along Interlaken's crystal-clear lake, home to a delightful family of swans!
