Girl Scouts: London & Paris

June 18, 2025  -  June 28, 2025

Today the group learned about the history and landmarks of Paris on a guided tour of the city. We started off at the grand Opera House and visited the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées. We learned the historical importance of Place de la Concorde, the square where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed during the French Revolution, and Les Invalides, the military complex which houses Napoleon's tomb. We then visited the Palace of Versailles, the royal residence commissioned by King Louis XIV, and its spectacular royal gardens. In the evening, we had French crêpes for dinner before shopping on Rue de Rivoli, a famous shopping street with the leading fashion brands. What a great way to spend our last evening in Paris!
