Well, we're managing to get fairly standard on our breakfast and departure timings, eight and nine again!
Lots of countryside and place names - who'd've believed they could have been so fascinating!?
Alnwick (annick - see?) and the river Aln is Alan!!
Anyway, the home of the Percy family since 1309 is truly magnificent, both Castle and grounds, designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. Just wow. And such a lot of Harry Potter too.
We had an afternoon treat too in the form of North Berwick (Berrick) with a trip to the Seaside! The weather might not have been glorious but it was great fun being on the beach.
WHAT A MEAL at the Toby Carvery Gammon, beef, turkey all the trimmings - I am stuffed.
The hotel for tonight and tomorrow is...ok, it's student accommodation for the University of Edinburgh so it's a bit basic but it is ok.
