Day 4: February 18, 2025
Our third day in Madrid began with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, preparing us for a day of exploring. After breakfast, we headed to El Retiro Park, one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces. We took our time strolling through its gardens, admiring the Crystal Palace and the lake. Part of the group decided to visit the Prado Museum to see masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, and El Greco.
In the afternoon, we regrouped and walked towards Puerta del Sol, Madrid’s vibrant central square. Here, we had some free time to grab a bite to eat, pick up last-minute souvenirs, and soak in the atmosphere. A few of us couldn’t resist stopping by San Ginés, the famous chocolatería, to try its legendary chocolate con churros—a sweet and delicious treat that lived up to its reputation!
For dinner, we enjoyed a buffet restaurant, where there was something for everyone, and the food was absolutely delicious. After a satisfying meal, we took the metro back to the hotel, ready to get a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow, we have an early departure as we head to Barcelona for the next leg of our adventure!
