Our great trip has started. Despite some issues with the luggage, what a first day it has been! After passing by our hotel for everybody to freshen up, we had our first public transportation experience in Paris. When in Paris, do as the Parisians do, as they say. First off, we headed to the greatest arts museum in the world: the Louvre, where our students had the chance to smile back at Mona Lisa, and wonder at the sculptural perfection of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. We then have enjoyed a first walk around the city Centre, including Ile de la Cité, the Latin Quarter and a bit of Le Marais. Guess what we have seen there? Yes, you are right, the magnificent Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris! We did not make it in time to visit inside the Cathedral, but we might give it another try tomorrow. As it is stated in main court of Roland Garros in Paris, victory is for the most tenacious. After that, we have enjoyed delicious chicken and potatoes in a cosy restaurant inside the heart of the Latin Quarter. And we sang "Joyeux anniversaire (Happy Birthday)" to Noah, who got the first macarons of the trip, :D We then headed back to the hotel, with some public transportation adventure and Beyoncé's concert at the Stade de France (we can hear here from our hotel!). After such a long flight and day, everybody was tired, but they still managed to be positive, energetic, power through the day and make it a memorable one.
