Day 1: June 21, 2025

And the great day has come! Here I find myself in Paris, starting to soak on the fabulous atmosphere and sunlight of the summer solstice. The weather is warm, the streets are full with people, both local and visitors, enjoying the vibrant city, the Seine River at its most beautiful. And I cannot wait for our students to arrive, traveling as they are as I write these lines. Ahead of us very exciting days, and an amazing itinerary that will take us from the grandeur of Royal Paris to some of the best preserved vestiges of Roman times in southern France, and eventually to Modernist (but also Gothic and many other things) Barcelona. All of this while we enjoy amazing gastronomy, we share knowledge, stories, we laugh, we learn, we explore cities and landscapes and we become a traveling band.
