What a day we had! A slightly more relaxed breakfast (8am) then off we went to the Eiffel Tower! Sadly we couldn't get to the very top because of technical difficulties but most people seemed to agree that the second stage was quite far enough! Great views with occasional mist to add a certain aura. Back to the Latin Quarter for a bit of lunch before going into the wonderfully restored Notre Dame cathedral. Next it was The Louvre and a chance to see the Mona Lisa among other great art works. Dinner tonight was possibly the favourite of the whole trip, a speciality of Alsace Lorraine, Flamkeuche (a type of thin crispy pizza. we were brought beef, ham, chicken, salad and then dark and white chocolate, as much as you could eat. Humdinger! A bit of free time in an area known as Les Halles, a kind of open air/enclosed mall and then it was time for our evening cruise on the river with the Eiffel tower beautifully lit up and twinkling. It must have been a good day and the time must have flown as, when Mr Hine gave everyone a time to be in their rooms we had to point out that it was already past that time!
