Day 2: March 23, 2025
So, after the airport closed on Friday because of an outage and the weather forecasters doing their best to predict monsoon style hurricanes, the plane lands 20 minutes behind schedule and it's a bit dull.
Everyone is a little on the tired side (British understatement there) but, bags dropped at the hotel, its straight back in the saddle - ok, on the underground - and 'into town' for a walkabout where we see the Houses of Parliament, the statue of Winston Churchill, do not see Downing Street because Amazon are filming some scenes from Jack Ryan, walk past the Ministry of Magic, along the riverside to Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square, through China Town and to Poppie's for Fish and Chips. Refreshed it's time for a little more Harry Potter at Piccadilly Circus and Coventry Street before there's a second American Revolution and the British (me) surrender to 'enough already' and agree that everybody has done brilliantly but it's time to get back to the hotel and go to bed!
