Hola! Today we have left Salamanca which it has been our home for the last 6 days and we made our way to Madrid for one more night in this exciting city. On the way to Madrid we had a stop at El Escorial, which is only one hour away from Madrid and it is the biggest palace here in Spain. In fact it is a palalca, monastery, and university at the same time. It holds 5000 manuscripts in its library which is richly decorated with freos and marvel. We we lucky to see the church as there was a wedding inside, but we manage to see it just before the ceremony. After this amazing visto, we had some lunch at el Escorial before maki g our way to our final destination Madrid. Once we arrived in Madrid we check in our hotels and went into town where some of us decided to visit EL PARQUE DEL RETIRO, which is the equivalent of Central Park in New York. Some others decided to do what we do best... SHOPPING!!! We ended the evening having some pella dinner at a local restaurant. Tomorrow we had a very long day ahead with over 8 hours journey so we are now back in our rooms to try and get as much rest as possible. Have a good weekend!
