Day 3: April 4, 2024
Good evening from Paris! We really made the most of every minute today, with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles in the morning, for a guided tour with Régine and Violette using radio headsets, before we returned to Paris for a bus tour accompanied by Régine's fascinating commentary about the sights around us, and including a photo stop at the Trocadero for amazing views of the Eiffel Tower. Later in the afternoon we took a visit to the Louvre Museum to see highlights such as the Mona Lisa, Venus di Milo and the Winged Victory. Dinner was delicious chicken followed by chocolate mousse, before we took a scenic river cruise on the Seine.
