Day 4: April 5, 2024
Good evening from Strasbourg! We were up early this morning to take a super-fast train, which whisked us through the French countryside at almost 200mph. On arrival we met our bus driver Liviu and headed for central Strasbourg where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch followed by a 2-hour tour of the cathedral and old town, with guides Régine (a different one to yesterday!) and Denise. After the tour we enjoyed some time for shopping, snacks and an option to ascend the cathedral stairs for wonderful roof-top views. Dinner tonight was delicious roast pork, followed by créme caramel at an atmospheric restaurant with a musical clock! It was then to the hotel to check in and have a good rest after a very busy few days!
