Mrs. Cordero's Spanish Highlights

Good morning! Today we started the day very early to begin our journey from Valencia to Granada. Along the way, we learned about how the Muslims invaded Spain in the year 711 and the legacy they left behind. We also had the opportunity to pass through a village with cave houses, which is very typical of Granada, while we talked about Federico García Lorca, a writer from Granada. The driver dropped us off at the San Cristobal viewpoint with amazing views of the city. After that, we experienced what the Muslim streets were like—narrow to provide shade while walking because it is very hot in Granada. Following this, we arrived at the San Nicolás viewpoint in the Albaicín. The views of the Alhambra were incredible! We even had time to enjoy some tea at the Arab tea houses and do some shopping. Finally, we discovered the main square of Granada, called Bib Rambla, and the Cathedral. Tomorrow we return with more adventures!
