Day 2: April 1, 2024
Hola!
It has been such a long first day! Today we arrived to Madrid airport. José, our Tour Director was waiting for us to go to the hotel, leave the luggage and freshen up to then take a public transport ride to the city center.
We started a walking tour at the iconic Puerta del Sol, the bustling heart of the city. The energy and excitement in the air were palpable as we took in the sights and sounds of this vibrant square.
Next, we made our way to the stunning Plaza Mayor, with its beautiful architecture and lively atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the day was trying some delicious chocolate con churros at San Ginés. The rich, thick chocolate paired perfectly with the crispy churros!
We then continued our journey to the beautiful Plaza de España, where we marveled at the grandeur of the square and its impressive monument to Cervantes, the most famous Spanish writer. Finally, we strolled down the iconic Gran Vía, where we had a chance to do some shopping.
Overall, today's walking tour of Madrid was a feast for the senses. From the historic landmarks to the delicious food, each moment was filled with wonder and excitement. We can't wait to see what tomorrow's adventures will bring!
