To the Boston Tea Party we go!! Huzzah!!! This morning we visited the Boston Tea Party Museum where we learned about that fateful night and how it changed things in American history forever! We were even able to throw tea over the side of the ship into the Harbor. We also sipped on some of the teas that were the actual types of tea on the ships that night. We ate lunch at one of the busiest train stations in Boston, South Station. From there we headed over to the Boston Common where we picked up our Colonial Guide (Jane, Ben Franklin’s sister!) who took us around on the Freedom Trail. We started by talking about the Puritans who first came to Boston and then we headed towards Park Street Church and the Granary Burying Ground. Inside this cemetery that has 5,000 people buried in it are Samuel Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere. We walked by the site of the Boston Massacre and ended at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. We ended our day with free time at Quincy Market where we bought all those last minute souvenirs and tried to stuff them into our bags, haha! Goodbye Boston! It’s been super fun but Indiana is calling us home now!
