Day 3: March 20, 2019
What a day! We started off with a surprise “Wow” moment from our Tour Director and Bus Driver. They drove us to Marblehead, MA for a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Boston skyline and we took some awesome photos and selfies! Next we headed to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum where we learned all about JFK and his life prior to and during the presidency and then his legacy afterwards. The museum also had some great exhibits on Robert Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy. For lunch we drove south into Plymouth where we had some New England seafood at the wharf. We also checked out the famous Plymouth Rock. The last activity of the day was to get a real feel of how the Pilgrims and Native Americans loved at the Plimoth Plantation. It was super interesting to talk to the interpreters as if they were real people living in the 17th Century. For dinner it was an authentic Pilgrim Feast where we learned the customs of the Pilgrims and how they would place a napkin and what utensils they would use and why. We ate turkey, squash and some Indian pudding.
