Day 2: March 19, 2019
Day 2 started us towards Lexington and Concord to pick up our historical guide and learn how the Revolutionary War took place in this area. We were able to actually walk on the Lexington Battle Green, across the Old North Bridge and dive into the story of the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. We stopped at a mall for lunch where we had sometime to shop and prepare ourselves for what was next..Salem, MA! Our first stop was at the Salem Witch Museum that talked about the trials and the hysteria that was caused from these accusations in town and surrounding areas. We were able to visit the memorial dedicated to the men and women who lost their lives from these trials before seeing the Old Burying Point in Salem, that has relatives of Nathaniel Hawthorne and Mayflower Pilgrims buried in it.
We had free time for some shopping and souvenirs while in town before we ate at a restaurant that used to be an old bank! Some of grabbed some warm drinks from Starbucks before our ghost tour, where we heard some funny, spooky and definitely interesting stories from around town. Back to the hotel to rest for the night before another busy day tomorrow!
