Our day began at the magnificent Opéra Garnier, where we met our local guide. From there, we boarded a bus for a sightseeing tour of Paris. As we drove through the city, we passed by grand boulevards, elegant bridges, and iconic landmarks. Our guide shared fascinating stories about Parisian history, making us appreciate every building and monument even more. We then continued on foot with Silvana, strolling through the elegant Place Vendôme with its luxurious boutiques and stunning architecture. The walk led us to the Louvre, where we stopped to admire its famous glass pyramid before heading to Rue de Rivoli for a well-earned lunch break. Some of us chose crêpes, others enjoyed baguette sandwiches, and a few even tried classic French pastries. After lunch, we entered the Louvre for a self-guided visit. The museum was overwhelming in its size and beauty. We made sure to see the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, but we also got lost in the endless galleries filled with incredible art. Later in the afternoon, we took the metro to Montmartre, one of the most charming areas of Paris. We had dinner at a cozy restaurant, where we enjoyed French cuisine while soaking in the lively atmosphere. As night fell, we took a walk up to the stunning Sacré-Cœur. The view of the city lights from the basilica steps was breathtaking. We then wandered through Place du Tertre, where street artists were still sketching portraits, and the cafés were buzzing with life. Our second day in Paris ended with laughter, photos, and the feeling that this city had truly stolen our hearts.
