Day 4: March 10, 2025
Our third day in France started with an early wake-up call. Still half-asleep, we packed our bags and left the hotel, ready for the next part of our adventure. The bus took us to Gare de Lyon, one of Paris’s busiest train stations, where we boarded the TGV to Nice.
The train ride was a mix of napping, chatting, and watching the French countryside speed by. As we got closer to the south, the scenery changed—rolling hills turned into palm trees, and soon, glimpses of the sparkling Mediterranean appeared.
Arriving in Nice, we were greeted by our private bus driver, Venturino, an Italian with a warm smile and a thick accent. He made sure we were comfortable as we drove through the elegant streets of the city. The atmosphere felt completely different from Paris—more relaxed, more coastal, and definitely warmer! At the hotel, we had just enough time to settle in before heading to dinner. The meal was delicious. After dinner, we took a walk through the charming streets of Vieux Nice. The narrow alleys were filled with colorful buildings, small boutiques, and the smell of lavender and spices from local shops. It was a perfect welcome to the French Riviera, and we couldn’t wait to explore more the next day.
