Italy, France & Spain

This morning we have visited Les Arénes, the Roman amphitheatre in Nimes that was built some years after the Colosseum in Rome. We had a long bus ride to Spain and we had enough time to admire the landscape but also to sleep. We crossed the Pyrenees, these mountains that are the natural border between France and Spain. As we arrived in Barcelona we stopped for a while at the hotel to leave our luggage and then we were ready for another experience: a metro ride to the city center (Plaza Catalunya). With Maria, our tour director, we had a city walk to know the Gothic Quarter and las Ramblas, the most famous street in Barcelona and a meeting place for tourists and locals. We had dinner in a restaurant nearby and we had a typical dish: paella marinera.
