Day 14: June 30, 2024
Che bella giornata!
This mroning we had a quick visit to the leather factory and then we met Chiara, our local guide in Florence. We walked around the old part of town and saw the Palazzio Vecchio, the Chiesa di Santa Croce, and of course the Ponte Vecchio, where we took some group photos. We also saw the Duomo from the exterior (did you know that no building can be taller than the dome?).
We finished at around midday and from there, we had the rest of the afternoon to explore the city! Dinner tonight was an additional activity that we opted in for — and we’re so happy we did. We took a traditional italian cooking class where we made bruschetta, fresh pasta, and tiramisu. This was the highlight of the day! The instructors were fabulous and we even took home some recipe cards so that we can recreate the dishes. It is with heavy but full hearts we day arrivederci to Italy tomorrow!
