Guten tag!
This morning, we met our Munich local guide, Michael, at the BMW World — what an energetic ball of energy who enthusiastically told us about the history of Munich from the 8th Century. We stopped by the Nymphenburg palace where we had a little bit of free time to take a few pictures. During the tour we drove past Frauenkirche, Deutsches museum, Alte Pinakothek, Neues Rathaus, Hofbräuhaus just to name a few important places.
When we finished the tour and said “Auf Wiedersehen” and “danke” to Michael for a fantastic guided visit, we had time for lunch and shopping around Marienplatz. Some of us even watched the "Eisbachwelle" — a world famous wave on the Eisbach. The Eisbachwelle is the largest and best city centre location for river surfing.
We then walked over to dinner and had traditional Chicken Schnitzel before meeting up again with Viorel as he drove us back to the hotel for the last time.
Danke Viorel! Tomorrow we meet our bus driver, Liviu, who will be with us until Paris.
