Day 22: July 8, 2024
This morning we kickstarted the day with a bike tour of Barcelona — what a neat way to see the city. We saw Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Arc de Triumph, Parc Ciutadella, Port Olympicm, Barceloneta, La Cara Y Gamba, Colon, Cat of Botero y Ramla de Raval, MACBA … to name a few!
With our tired legs, we walked just down the street to Plaça de Catalunya where we broke off for lunch and our last opportunity for free time. Some of us explored Boqueria Marquet, which is one of the top ten markets in the world according to CNN. After spending the rest of our euros on shopping, we met back up and walked over to dinner nearby. We tried paella — a national dish that originally came from Valencia. To sweeten the end of our last day, I treated everyone to churros con chocolate!
We are now back in the hotel and packing our suitcases for tomorrow (which are heavier than when we first arrived weeks ago — a good sign of an amazing trip)
