Day 5: June 21, 2024
Today we started the day with a market of local produce: fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, cheese and bakery. There were so many scents and colours!
We then visited the château and village of Azay-le-Rideau, where we had a quick lunch.
In the afternoon, we visited the château of Chenonceau and its magnificent gardens.
To round off the day, we visited a troglodyte village. After visiting the mushroom cave farm, we sampled the mushrooms in a troglodyte restaurant. What an incredible place and experience!
