Rome & Greece

Here we are in Tolo, Greece after a night crossing of the Adriatic Sea which was quite a multicultural experience. Due to the crisis in Greece and Europe there have been severe cutbacks with ships and crossings so there were a lot of Bulgarian, Albanian and Turkish passengers on their way to Greece looking for work. Many of them were without cabins so pretty much all over the ship there were people sleeping on blankets. Quite an eye-opener for us all but all part of the travel experience in the sense that one needs to prepare for the unexpected. Disembarking fifty seven passengers took some time as we had to wait for the lorries and cargo to disembark first. Once off the vessel we boarded our coach and drove across the Pelopponese to meet our local guide in Olympia. A delicious Greek lunch followed at Ambrosia, a local taverna and then we made the 3 hour drive to our hotel, the Tolon Holiday. In a wifi-less zone again so trying to write more or post photos is a hopeless endeavor until we leave the rural areas....please bear with me until tomorrow and know that everyone is having a great adventure...
