Day 8: March 28, 2025
Our last day (for now) in Europe, so we crammed a lot into our day!
We started off by taking a walk from the famous Opera House to the Louvre Museum and it was worth the walk. It is so full of paintings and sculptures that you don’t know where to begin! So we went in groups to look at we wanted to. Of course we all saw La Jaconde - The Mona Lisa.
After that we had some food from the food court and made our way to Montmartre on the hill. It used to be a village outside of Paris, until the 1800’s where artists would hang out. Our Tour Director gave us a tour of the area, then we had some free time to explore.
We weren’t finished yet though! After dinner in Montmartre we split into 2 groups. One went to the Catacombes. The other went and climbed the Arc de Triomphe. All of us really enjoyed what we saw. When we arrived at the Arc de Triomphe the sun was just setting and looked incredible! Then we climbed to the top (which involved a stone spiral staircase, which seemed to go on forever !! But it was worth it to see a view over the whole of Paris as the sun set and turned to night. We could clearly see the Eiffel too again and watched it sparkle.
Then back to our hotel for one last sleep before tomorrow.
