Hello parents, grandparents, cousins, friends and tour watchers. Today we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where we saw (among other things) Egyptian Art, Armaments and Armor throughout the ages and Fine Art of the Great Masters. After that, Explorica treated the group to a NY hotdog, a potato knish or a pretzel as we set out to cross Central Park to Strawberry Fields. The rain held to just a few drops, and we arrived for lunch at the Time Warner Center bone dry. Our driver, Gunny exhibited perfect timing in meeting us, as he has throughout the entire tour. Our western group then explored Times Square as we said goodbye to our southern friends. I would like to inject a personal note here; all of the kids have been extremely polite and respectful, while still being kitds and having a great time. Parents, you should all be very proud. It would be my personal pleasure to take these kids anywhere! I would also like to say that the chaperones were also well-behaved :-). Kudos to Melissa (Lisa) Williams, she had the respect of the group and led well. Now we finish the day with dinner all the way up on 108th street, after a visit to The Cathedral of St. john the Divine. A final note to the Idaho group. For some reason I am unable to make an entry for Thursday, in the Thursday block. So let me just say that we went to the Bronx zoo, and Arthur Ave. in the Bronx, which is fast becoming the new Little Italy, as the one in Manhattan continues to shrink. Check out the pictures. Hope you had a safe flight. To both groups, thank you very much for being s wonderful. Hopefully we can do it next year. Jim Ryan
