Paris, Brittany & Normandy

June 13, 2023  -  June 20, 2023

Today we started off by visiting Mt St Michel, on the border of Normandy and Brittany. The weather was gloomy and we even had a bit of a thunderstorm. But it just added to the atmosphere of the place! Mt St Michel is a monastery built high up in a rock and used to be cut off by the tide at certain times of the day, but now is always accessible, thanks to a causeway being built. In the afternoon we went to St Malo, where we learnt about the town’s seafaring history and had a guided walk through the town and on its sea walls. We then finished the day with a traditional galette and crêpe dinner- delicious!
