Fun first day. Got to meet people from Texas and Louisiana. Heard a great story about the history of Ben's Chili Bowl by the famous Harold Bell. He told us to Google him. We ate the famous 1/2 smokes. Then went to the White House where we were told by secret service police to back up to the sidewalk, and one of the helicopters flew by. We saw the WW2 memorial and walked over to Lincoln, Korea and Vietnam Veterans Memorials. It was a beautiful evening as the sun sets on the nation's capitol. It's a good day to here and looking forward to more tomorrow.
