Day 4: June 6, 2019
What a day today!!!
We started the day at 6 o’clock in the morning taking our coach to saint Pancras station where we took the Eurostar train to Brussels.
The journey took less than two hours so at around midday we were already in Belgium.
We met our driver Margreet at the station, we loaded our bags and we went to the city centre.
We walked to the impressive Grande Place, one of the most amazing squares in the world.
From there we went to have lunch at a restaurant nearby. French fries are typical from here so we obviously had to try them too!
From the restaurant we walked to
see Manneken Pis (a lot smaller than people expect it to be!), it was done in 1619 and it used to provide water to the district.
We walked back to meet Margreet and she drove us to Amsterdam. She was very nice so on our way we stopped at the Atomium, a landmark built in 1958 for the world fair. It represents an iron molecule so, if you expand an iron molecule 200 billion times, that’s what you’d see.
From there we had an almost 4 hour drive until we reached our final destination, Amsterdam.
We have a lot of exiting plans for tomorrow, specially one of them. Will tell you about it tomorrow :)
