Day 3: June 5, 2019
Today, after a much needed night sleep, we had breakfast and we headed to central London where everyone enjoyed some free time.
It was the perfect opportunity to visit the British museum, the imperial war museum, getting to see Camden Town (where Amy Winehouse lived) and wander around Picadilly Circus and all the streets around the centre of the city.
It was a sunny day (very unusual in London!!) which made it a perfect start of the day.
At 2:30 pm we all met at South Kensington station and from there we went to the Natural History Museum where we met our London local guide Pepe.
Pepe had a great knowledge of London, we took the underground to st James park, from there we walked to Westminster abbey.
He took us around the city and showed us the most important sites such as the west end (the entertainment area), Westminster, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the city, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Big Ben (under renovation!).
For dinner today we went to Tower Hill and had bangers and mashed potatoes which is another traditional dish from Great Britain.
On our way back to the hotel we stopped by Buckingham palace for a picture. And met the royal family... No, not really. Lol!
We have enjoyed our time in London, there is a great variety in everything which is what makes this city so great.
We are ready for more adventures so tomorrow we are crossing the uk border and moving onto a new country!!
