Today at breakfast, everyone was ready to start our panoramic city tour with our local guide Francesc. At 8:45am we were already on the coach and Antonio, our driver, drove us to Parc Guell as we had a reservation to visit it at 9:30 am. We walked around the park while Francesc explained detailed information about Gaudí and his work. Really amazing! From there we went to see the spectacular Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s masterpiece and the most iconic building of Barcelona. It will be finished by 2026 so I hope this is a perfect excuse for everyone to come back to Barcelona!! We boarded the coach again and drove through Paseo the Gràcia, one of the wealthiest avenues in the city. Here we also saw two very famous buildings, designed by Gaudí, La pedrera and casa Batlló. We left Gaudí behind and headed to Montjuïc, the south part of the city. This is were in 1992 Barcelona housed the Olympic Games. From Montjuïc we had amazing views of Barcelona. From there we drove by the end of la ramblas and ended up in Plaça Catalunya were we ended the tour. Everyone had some free time and at 6:30pm we met for dinner. I saw a lot of bags with souvenirs so, expect some presents!!!
