Day 16: June 18, 2019
This morning when I came down everyone was in the breakfast room already.
We didn’t have to wake up too early today which I’m sure everyone was very happy about.
At 9:00 am Slavko had the bus ready for us to take us back into Lucerne where we had a few hours of free time before we met by the pier number 2 to start our adventure up the mount Pilatus.
Explorica is treating everyone to this excursion to make it up for the problem we had with the bus and the air conditioning a few days ago.
The boat to Alpnachstad left at 1:38 and once we got to Alpnachstad we took the cog rail (the steepest in the world!) to Mt. Pilatus.
The views have been amazing all the way up! The cog rail just went up and up!
Once at the top everyone had the chance to see the three different viewing points.
It was breathtaking. Everyone really enjoyed it.
To go down we first took a gondola (which is like a cable car but fits in more people) to Fräkmünteg and from there a cable car to Kriens where Slavko was waiting for us.
I’m really glad that everyone had a great day, it really was a very memorable one because we don’t get to see things like this everyday.
We arrived at the hotel at around 7 and we met at 7:30pm at the restaurant were we got to try font due.
We have an early start tomorrow and a new road journey to enjoy!
