Washington, DC

A very rainy final day was in store for us here in DC! We started strong at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, and reflected on how a national tragedy could change the course of American History forever. Then, it was a trip to Target to gather some more rain gear. After that, we went to the Air Force memorial, where some of the group had personal connections to the branch of the military. After that it was onward to Arlington National Cemetary, where we saw the Arlington House, JFK's gravesite, Thurgood Marshall and RBG, stopped by Joe Louis, and finally made it up to the tomb of the unknown soldier. After Arlington, it was a quick ride to Ballston Market for some much needed lunch and shelter. Then, we took a lovely drive down Embassy Row, got some photos of the National Cathedral, and then headed to BWI! Overall, this was a phenomenal tour with and even better group!
