Day 7: March 23, 2025
We left Scotland in the rain… a very early 5.15am start to drive the 2 hours down the west coast to Cairnryan ferry port. The 2 hours down crossing was very smooth and everyone enjoyed exploring the ferry with its shops, restaurants and comfy seating!
We headed straight north to the little village of Bushmills… home to the world’s oldest whisky distillery so that we could have some lunch in the quaint little village before our Giants Causeway visit. Everyone found some great places to eat, the sun was out and the skies blue as we headed up for our visit.
The causeway was at its absolute best today looking absolutely incredible in the glorious weather. A 2 hour visit thoroughly enjoyed by all.
After. The gift shop Emma and Aidan took us to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the rope bridge from GOT and to the Dark Hedges… aka the road to Kings Landing.
Northern Ireland scenery at its best.
The hotel was 40 mins back towards Belfast which is where we also had dinner.
