Day 4: April 18, 2023
Today was a day relatively free of a scheduled programme. Instead each group had got their own programmes sorted out. That meant there was a variety of visits to such places as the Natural History Mueseum, the V & A Museum next door, as well as Westminster Abbey, the London Eye and the Imperial War Museum. Many of the group met up in Trafalgar Square later to head for a traditional curry dinner near Euston station. The curry dinner reflects the multicultural nature of the UK and the varied influences that affect the cuisine here. Later on the vast majority of the groups went to the theatre to watch either Wicked! Or ‘The play that goes wrong’. After each of the shows it was then less than a straightforward journey for each group to get back to the hotel in Wembley as the train network in London had various issues. Eventually everyone arrived through the hotel doors at least able to catch a few hours sleep before the morning!
