Day 2: April 16, 2023
The morning started with breakfast at the hotel in Wembley before travelling into London by coach. We met up with the local guide and then travelled through central London by coach. Traffic was very busy as there was a rehearsal of the coronation for King Charles III taking place , so progress was slower than usual but we managed to travel past Marble Arch and down to Victoria Railway station. Then it was along the embankment to historic st Paul’s Cathedral. The group wer3 able to get to the top florrr of a nearby building to get great views over St Paul’s and much of London! The tour finished at Aldwych/Covent Garden and each grouping went its own way for lunch. Subsequent free time was spent either riding the London Eye, shopping at the Lego store or visiting Westminster Abbey. Everyone met up late afternoon to walk down The Mall to Buckingham Palace (where the royal monarchy live) before dinner at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe. After a hearty dinner many headed back to the hotel whilst one group headed to Tower Hill, to see the Tower of London and Tower Brdigelit up at night!
