Day 6: June 28, 2024
Today we left France and started our journey down through Italy! It was a long drive down to Florence so we stopped a few times along the way, including a couple of hours in Pisa in the afternoon. We visited the Baptistery and Cathedral and posed for photos in front of the famous Leaning Tower. After that we all got our first proper Italian gelato and had a bit of free time before getting back on the bus. We then drove to our hotel and had a delicious dinner in the restaurant next door, where we sampled all kinds of local food including wild boar ragu, polenta and truffles.
