Day 9: February 22, 2020
Ola!
Today we travelled to Southern Portugal, crossing half of the country!
We first stopped at the ancient town of Evora. There we visited the very original church of St Francisco, specially know because of the unique Chapel of the bones! Yes, it´s all built with bones from the monks back in the XVII Century!
We continued walking around the main square, the narrow streets, seeing the white washed buildings and...A medieval cathedral and a Roman temple in the same square! Wow! Yes, you are right, the roman temple we saw has more than 2000 years history!
We enjoyed some time off before going back to the bus and continuing driving all the way down to Algarve region.
Since it was already 5pm, by the time we arrived in Portimao, we went directly to the beach! oh yeah! Doubtless, everyone´s highlight of the day! Look at the views, the sky and the sunset!
Time for dinner and some walk around town later.
Tomorrow we don´t have to wake up early! But still some great plans coming up...
Até amanha!
