Day 7: February 20, 2020
Bom dia from Lisbon!
With 65ºF Maximun temperature today, this is how we explored and walked Lisbon today.
We started the day with a panoramic guided tour with our local guide, Isabel.
First city sightseeing from the bus, then a visit to the UNESCO site of Monastery of Jeronimos, one of the few buildings from the XVI century that survived to the Earthquake in 1755.
We continued with the view of Belem Tower and a coffee break, but still one of the highlights of the day was about to come: the reconstruction in real time of the Monument to the Discoveries! Can you identify all of us posing as the sculptures above?
We finished the morning tour in Rossio square and had some free time for lunch and shopping. After recovering some energies we went to experience one of most known symbols of Lisbon: to get on a elevator to go up to Bairro Alto! we did it twice actually! Elevador da Gloria to go up, and Elevador da Bica to go down. See our faces!
In the meantime, we walked and walked and took so many pictures from different lookouts such Alcantara one, or top of Santa Justa elevator, and of the beautifully decorated streets of Bairro Alto.
Time to have a look around just before dinner, what a day!
