Olá! Today we had a long but beautiful day travelling all the way back to Lisbon. We crossed through the stunning scenery of the Douro valley with its terraced vineyards, green colours and the most picturesque villages you could imagine. We first stopped in AMARANTE, a medieval town known because of its bridge where we all took a picture. And some of us went to have a look to the farmers market. We continued for another hour to the second stop: the village of LAMEGO. Full of historical monuments. We climbed all the way up through a very narrow cobbled stone street, but the view from the top and the medieval castle was absolutely worth it! Lamego had also a Cathedral, gardens and a delightful main square full of cafes where we all seated and had lunch. Such a sunny day to be outdoors! Unfortunately we had to continue and still have some more hours driving till Lisbon. Dinner was for fish today (Bacalhau a Brás), and believe or not, some of us we really liked the fish meal! Time to rest as tomorrow we are going to explore Lisbon again!
