Our first full day in Provence has been one of the groups favourite days of the trip so far! We're treated to sunshine when we wake up this morning and the group are delighted to be making a bit of a later start to make up for a couple of early mornings earlier in the trip! We have another nice breakfast and then it's on the bus to see some more sights. To begin with we return to Nimes where we were yesterday, but this time we explore some of the opposite end of the historic city centre, including the Roman temple, the Maison Carrer, and the Jardins de la Fontaine, the park where water delivered from the Pont du Gard arrived in ancient times. Then it's back on the bus and out to Les Baux de Provence. Here the group enjoy one of the countries most beautiful villages. With views across the region from the castle ruins on top of the hill, and with plenty of shops and places to eat it's yet another highlight. Our final visit of the day is to Pont du Gard, the world's highest and best preserved Roman aqueduct. It's a beautiful setting and a lovely place to finish the day before returning to Nimes for dinner near the hotel.
