Day 3: April 25, 2019
The group are refreshed this morning following a good nights sleep and ready to enjoy a full day in London! To begin with we enjoy a tasty English breakfast at the hotel and then we jump on the bus and head into the centre of London where we meet Martin. Martin is our first Tour Guide of the trip and he commentates on our sightseeing tour of London.
Amongst the may sights we see are Natural History Museum, V&A Museum, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and St Pauls Cathedral. The tour finishes in one of my favourite areas of London, Covent Garden. This is a pedestrianised square with a covered market in the centre and the perfect place for lunch and to begin the afternoon of free time.
The group then split up with some heading back to the Natural History Museum, others going to the famous department store Harrods, whilst the Harry Potter fans go to Platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross station. We then meet for a traditional bangers and mash supper before most of the group head to the Phoenix Theatre for the show 'Come From Away' set in the groups home province of Newfoundland!
